Year 12 Students Reflect and Connect at Annual Retreat
Last week, our Year 12 students stepped away from the classroom to take part in their annual retreat at the Nunyarra Conference Centre in Belair—an important milestone in their final year at Xavier College.
Over the course of two days, students were invited to pause and reflect on their personal, social, and spiritual journeys. Through a variety of guided activities and shared experiences, they considered where they have come from, where they are now, and the direction they hope to take in the future.
Inspired by the words of Pope John Paul II, the retreat created a meaningful space for prayer, connection, and self-discovery. Students engaged thoughtfully with the program, strengthening bonds with their peers while gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their values.
The retreat concluded with the entire cohort coming together for a relaxed sausage sizzle, followed by a series of affirming activities that celebrated their shared experiences and personal growth. It was a fitting and memorable close to a significant chapter in their Year 12 journey.
