Xavier College Riverlea Park Reaches Major Construction Milestone

Catholic Education South Australia (CESA), Xavier College, and Mossop Construction + Interiors recently celebrated a significant milestone in the development of the new Xavier College Riverlea Park Campus, holding an official topping-out ceremony to mark the completion of the building’s structural frame.

Representatives from all three organisations gathered alongside the Gawler Belt Campus Captains to celebrate the completion of this construction phase. As part of the occasion, the Campus Captains wrote the College values of Respect, Understanding, Affection and Humour (RUAH) onto the structure, creating a symbolic time capsule that embeds the spirit and identity of Xavier College into the foundations of the new campus.

The Riverlea Park Campus is being developed to support families in one of South Australia’s fastest-growing residential communities and is scheduled for completion in December 2026, ahead of opening in early 2027. The College has already received more than 290 enrolment applications for 2027, reflecting strong community interest in the new campus. Initially catering for students from Reception to Year 6, the campus will progressively expand to provide a complete educational pathway through to Year 12.

Stage 1 of the development includes a modern three-storey primary building featuring central communal spaces connected to contemporary learning environments and specialist facilities. Students will have access to dedicated STEM “Maker” spaces, multimedia studios, and a food technology centre, supporting a broad range of learning experiences designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and future-focused learning.

Construction progress has continued steadily, with the ground, first, and second floor slabs now being finalised, alongside the central elevator structure and major structural walls.

The Riverlea Park Campus reflects the shared commitment of CESA, Xavier College, and Mossop to delivering high-quality educational facilities that grow alongside the community and provide students with outstanding opportunities to learn and thrive for years to come.
