Wellbeing Week 2026

Students and staff across Xavier College recently came together to celebrate Wellbeing Week, a special time dedicated to promoting positive mental health, meaningful connections, and a strong sense of community.

Throughout the week, students participated in a wide range of activities designed to encourage mindfulness, connection, and fun. From cupcake decorating, mindful colouring, meditation sessions, and a wellbeing poster competition to sporting activities and playgroup celebrations, there were plenty of opportunities for students of all ages to focus on their wellbeing and enjoy time with their peers.

A particular highlight of the week was R U OK? Day, which served as an important reminder to pause, check in, and ask a simple question that can make a meaningful difference: “Are you OK?” Students and staff marked the occasion through a variety of activities celebrating kindness, support, and community, including BBQs, live music, ribbons, coffee, and shared conversations.

It was also wonderful to see our Gawler Belt students visit the Evanston and Two Wells campuses, spending time with primary students and helping to foster connections across our College community. These interactions provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships and create a greater sense of belonging for students across all campuses.

While Wellbeing Week may be over, its message remains as important as ever. Looking after our own wellbeing and supporting the wellbeing of others is something we can all do every day. Through simple acts of kindness, meaningful conversations, and genuine connections, we can help create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Thank you to all students, staff, and families who participated and helped make Wellbeing Week such a positive and meaningful celebration of health, happiness, and connection.
