Supporting the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal

As we enter the Christmas season, the Xavier College community is once again coming together to support the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal, helping bring hope, dignity, and joy to children and families in need. This year, the call for support is even more urgent. With the cancellation of the Motorcycle Riders Association Toy Run (an event that normally provides thousands of toys across South Australia) a significant gap has been left for local St Vinnies conferences. Every donation from our families will make a meaningful difference.

Each campus is contributing in its own way. At Evanston Campus, students and families will continue the much-loved tradition of collecting food items for Christmas hampers. Donations can be delivered to the Front Office throughout the collection period.

Families at Gawler Belt and Two Wells are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys for children aged 0 to 12. To help St Vinnies volunteers prepare the gifts, we ask that each toy include a small tag noting the intended age range and gender. Items can be dropped to either campus Front Office between 1–5 December (Week 8).

Thank you to all families for your generosity and kindness. Your support ensures that the true spirit of Christmas is shared with those who need it most, bringing comfort, joy, and hope to our wider community this Advent season.
