Students Take Learning to the Fairways

Our Year 11 Physical Education students from the Two Wells Campus took their learning beyond the classroom this week with a visit to Sandy Creek Golf Course.

The excursion provided students with the opportunity to gain valuable on-course experience while exploring the biomechanics of the golf swing. As part of their studies, students recorded and analysed their swings, using the footage to identify areas for improvement and apply key sports science concepts in a real-world setting.

Combining practical skill development with data collection and analysis, the experience allowed students to deepen their understanding of how biomechanics influences sporting performance.

With beautiful weather and plenty of enthusiasm throughout the day, the visit was an enjoyable and engaging learning opportunity. It was a fantastic example of sports science in action, helping students connect classroom theory with practical application on the fairways.
