Our Gawler Belt students were privileged to spend time with Pauly Vandenbergh, a proud Wirangu and Kokatha man from the Far West Coast of South Australia, cultural educator, community leader and co-founder of the Tjindu Foundation. Pauly shared powerful stories about his culture, identity and the importance of reconciliation, encouraging students to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal histories, cultures and perspectives.

Drawing on his own experiences, Pauly spoke about the importance of creating a sense of belonging where every person feels valued, respected and connected. He challenged students to consider how they can contribute to stronger relationships, greater understanding and a more inclusive community through listening, learning and showing respect for others.
