Rite Journey Calling and Departure Ceremony
The Year 9 cohort at the Two Wells and Gawler Belt campuses recently marked a significant transition in their educational and personal development during the Calling and Departure Ceremony for The Rite Journey. This foundational event serves as a formal entry into a year of self-discovery, resilience, and maturity, setting the stage for the students’ progression toward adulthood.
The day involved a heartfelt gathering where students and parents shared a space for reflection and connection, highlighted by students presenting personal letters to their families to express gratitude and share their aspirations for the journey ahead. These emotional exchanges underscored the importance of family support as the students embark on this new chapter of their schooling.
The cohorts also participated in rigorous physical and mental challenges. These activities were specifically designed to test the students’ collective resolve and encourage the development of strong, supportive bonds within the peer group. Throughout the day, the Year 9 students demonstrated impressive teamwork and a high level of maturity when navigating obstacles. The College community looks forward to seeing these young people continue to flourish and grow as they engage with the remainder of The Rite Journey program.
