Indianna Speaks at 2025 Our SAAY Finals

During the school holidays, Year 10 student Indianna took to the stage as a finalist in the OUR SAAY 2025 Public Speaking Competition, representing her peers and community with passion and pride.

Indianna’s growing confidence and love for public speaking led her to apply for the 2025 competition, and her powerful message saw her selected as a finalist in the Senior Years category by the Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People, Dale Agius.

The final, held during NAIDOC Week, gave Indianna the opportunity to speak on equality in education and the importance of amplifying the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Her heartfelt speech reflected a deep commitment to creating change and inspiring others through her words.

We are incredibly proud of Indianna for her leadership, courage, and the strength of her voice.
