Gawler Belt students recently enjoyed a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes at two of Adelaide’s most iconic venues, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The visit offered an incredible insight into the operations of large-scale event spaces, with students meeting and learning from industry professionals from AVM, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and Novatech. They were given an insider’s view of what it takes to run major performances, exhibitions, and events, exploring areas that are rarely accessible to the public.

Throughout the day, students represented Xavier College with pride, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine interest in every aspect of the experience.

It was a unique and inspiring opportunity—one that many will never have the chance to experience—and a valuable step in connecting classroom learning with real-world careers.
