Cooking Up Kindness for Fred’s Van

Our Year 10 Food and Hospitality students at the Gawler Belt Campus have been busy cooking up kindness, preparing more than 20 trays of pasta bakes, stir fry, curries, and other delicious meals to donate to Fred’s Van.

Each Thursday evening, Fred’s Van visits Pioneer Park in Gawler to provide warm meals to people experiencing homelessness or hardship. Xavier College has proudly supported this important community service for over twenty years, continuing a tradition of compassion, generosity, and service to others.

This initiative is a wonderful example of our students living out the College’s Salesian values through meaningful action.

A heartfelt thank you to Lyn from Fred’s Van for her ongoing connection with the College, and to Mr Hronopoulos, Mrs Monticelli, and our dedicated students for their generosity, teamwork, and kindness in supporting those in need.
