Celebrating the Year 6 Class of 2025 at Evanston Campus
The Evanston Campus community recently gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Year 6 Class of 2025, marking a special milestone in their primary years at Xavier College. Families began the evening by exploring a vibrant Visual Arts Exhibition that showcased Makers Empire VR monsters, Aboriginal-inspired artworks, self-portraits, games, media creations, and beautifully crafted Italian-inspired pieces. The creativity, imagination, and cultural respect on display were truly inspiring.
The community then came together for a Welcome to Country and a powerful Kite Hawk Dance led by Kaurna Elder Uncle Moogy, setting a meaningful tone for the evening. This was followed by a heartfelt Farewell ceremony honouring each student and their journey through primary school. Performances from our Year 6 students lit up the night, concluding with an unforgettable Hip Hop Dance Battle choreographed by Ground Force Dance Studio, which had the whole audience cheering.
The celebrations continued the next day as Oratory groups toured the exhibition and enjoyed a special encore performance from the Year 6 cohort. Congratulations to our amazing Year 6 students. We are incredibly proud of your creativity, resilience, and spirit, and we wish you every success as you prepare for the exciting years ahead.
