Two Wells Campus Captain Shaylee recently had the exciting opportunity to umpire an Auskick game at halftime of the Adelaide Crows vs North Melbourne game at Adelaide Oval, in front of a crowd of approximately 35,000 people.

This remarkable experience was made possible through Shaylee’s involvement with the Tjindu Foundation and her dedication to completing umpiring courses offered by the Tjindu. Shaylee was selected to umpire alongside other students from the program, a recognition of her commitment and growth in the sport.

While she admitted to feeling nervous at first, those nerves quickly faded once the game began. Shaylee embraced the moment and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, describing it as a memorable and rewarding opportunity.

We are proud of Shaylee’s achievements and the way she continues to represent Xavier College with pride, confidence and leadership.
