Adelaide Holocaust Museum Incursion
As part of their Year 10 History studies, students at the Two Wells Campus had the invaluable opportunity to engage with guest speaker, Tamas Lorincz, from the Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Education Centre (AHMSEC). This special incursion provided an in-depth exploration of the Holocaust through both primary and secondary sources, allowing students to gain a profound understanding of the lived experiences of Holocaust survivors who migrated to South Australia.
Through firsthand accounts and historical insights, students reflected on the impact of this significant event in world history. The session not only deepened their knowledge but also encouraged meaningful discussions about human rights, tolerance, and ethical responsibility in today’s society.
Experiences like these are vital in fostering historical awareness and empathy, equipping students with the knowledge to engage thoughtfully with the past and contribute to a more just and compassionate future. We thank Tamas for the time taken to visit and educate our Year 10 students on such an important historical event.
