Xavier College has taken another significant step towards the opening of its new Riverlea Park Campus, announcing the leadership team that will help shape the future of the College’s newest campus ahead of its opening in 2027.
Following the appointment of Campus Principal Dr Sandra Hewson, several key leadership positions have now been filled, bringing together an experienced and highly regarded team of educators committed to creating an exceptional learning environment for students and families.
Joining Dr Hewson are Rose Valenti as Assistant Campus Principal – Religious Identity and Mission, Monique Lagana as Assistant Campus Principal – Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing, Maria Iovino as Early Years Leader, and Belinda Rafanelli as Primary Years Leader.
With the campus scheduled to open at the commencement of the 2027 school year, the leadership team is already working closely to establish the foundations of a connected and welcoming community. Planning is underway across all areas of campus life, including teaching and learning programs, student wellbeing initiatives, faith formation, staffing, and community engagement.
Dr Hewson said she was excited to be working alongside such a passionate and experienced group of educators as preparations continue for the new campus.
“The appointment of our leadership team is a significant moment in the journey towards opening the Riverlea Park Campus. Each member of the team brings outstanding experience, expertise and a deep commitment to Catholic education.
“Together, we are creating a vibrant and future-focused learning environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging, are inspired to pursue excellence, and are supported to achieve their personal best. Through innovative teaching and learning approaches, contemporary educational programs and a strong focus on student wellbeing, we are designing a campus experience that will empower young people to thrive both now and into the future.
“One of the great strengths of Riverlea Park is that students and families will be joining a well-established Xavier College community from day one. Our leadership team is already working closely with the leaders, teachers and staff across our existing campuses to draw on the very best Xavier College has to offer.”
The Riverlea Park Campus will provide families in one of South Australia’s fastest-growing communities with access to a contemporary Catholic education grounded in faith, excellence, and community.
As anticipation continues to build ahead of the 2027 opening, Xavier College looks forward to welcoming its first students and families and embarking on an exciting new chapter in the College’s history.
