It was wonderful to welcome Deputy Premier Kyam Maher and Member for Light James Agness MP to our Gawler Belt Campus to chat with students Brodie and Ollie about their amazing efforts during the Push-Up Challenge.

The Deputy Premier, who also participated in this year’s challenge, became aware of Brodie and Ollie’s involvement through social media and took the opportunity to congratulate them on their outstanding commitment. Together, they discussed the importance of raising awareness for mental health and the positive impact initiatives like the Push-Up Challenge can have in starting meaningful conversations.

It was also great to see Mr Agness, an Old Scholar of Xavier College, sporting his very retro Year 12 jumper from his graduating year, much to the amusement of students and staff alike!

We thank the Deputy Premier and Mr Agness for coming down to chat with our students, and we are incredibly proud of Brodie and Ollie for their dedication to such an important cause and for representing the College so well.
