Year 12 Agriculture Students Explore Wheat Research at AGT

This week, our Year 12 Agriculture students visited Australian Grain Technologies (AGT), gaining a valuable behind-the-scenes insight into the world of advanced wheat research.

During the visit, students explored the full journey of developing new wheat varieties, from cross-pollination and controlled grow rooms through to field trials and quality testing. The experience highlighted the important role that science, technology, and innovation play in modern agriculture.

The excursion provided students with a deeper understanding of how research and development contribute to improving crop performance and sustainability within the industry. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

We thank the team at AGT for their generosity in sharing their expertise and for providing such an engaging and informative experience for our students.
