At commencement of the 2023 Academic Year, Xavier College will be refining our procedure with regard to the purchase and use of stationery items. Stationery will only be required to be purchased as needed. It is hoped that this new initiative will assist with reducing overall costs for parents and caregivers, in addition to minimising waste and the overall impact on the environment.
The increased use of laptop computers in recent years has enabled the College to significantly reduce students’ stationery requirements. We will be encouraging students to use and re-use any stationery they already have.
To begin at Xavier in Year 7, students will require for the core subjects from the start:
Elective subjects, Art, Drama, Music, and Italian, will rotate over the course of the year. Students and parents/caregivers will be notified at each changeover to check the timetable on SEQTA to obtain the following stationery items for these subjects:
Year 7 students and parents/caregivers will be notified of their first elective subject rotation at the Student/Parent/Oratory Teacher (SPOT) meeting before the commencement of their timetabled lessons early in 2023, to enable families time to locate or purchase any required stationery.
Please note, should your child be starting in Year 8 or Year 9, please also refer to the above list.
The College supplies all required stationery for students in Reception to Year 6.
